Tristan Meecham

Tristan Meecham is a performance artist who works with the grand and the ridiculous. He is passionate about connecting community, audience and artists together in events that transcend the everyday. One day he will collaborate with Grace Jones. Tristan created the performance spectacle Fun Run, in which he runs a marathon on a treadmill live on stage. The first work in The Coming Out Trilogy, Fun Run premièred at the 2010 Next Wave Festival, traveled to the 2011 Darwin Festival and in 2013, opened the Sydney Festival. The second in the trilogy is Game Show, an interactive performance developed at Brisbane Powerhouse’s World Theatre Festival and Melbourne’s Arts House in 2013. Tristan completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Visual Arts) at QUT and Bachelor of Dramatic Arts (Acting) at VCA, where he was awarded the inaugural Richard Pratt Scholarship for Outstanding Acting Student.
